Castle Neroche is located approximately halfway between Chard and Taunton in the Blackdown Hills of Somerset in the west of England. A former Iron Age hillfort and later Norman Motte & Bailey castle, Castle Neroche, is now owned by the forestry commission. Its hilltop location offering some very special views out over the vale of Taunton towards the Quantock Hills and Exmoor. There are a number of interesting walks in and around Castle Neroche, information boards, and ample free parking.
