East Lambrook is a small village situated in the south of Somerset. It is located around a mile from South Petherton; 4 miles west of Martock, 6 miles south west of Langport; 10 miles north west of Yeovil, and 15 miles from the county town of Taunton. East Lambrook has a small 15th-century manor house, which has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building and beautiful gardens; a church, St. James, dating back to the 12th century; and an excellent pub, the Rose and Crown.

East Lambrook in past times ... "East Lambrook is a tithing in the parish of Kingsbury, 5 miles north-east from Ilminster, situated on the River Parrett. The chapel of St. James is a small ancient structure: it has chancel, nave, bell-gable and 2 bells. The register dates from the year 1771. A School Board has been formed, and new schools will be erected shortly. Here is a Sunday school. the Dean and Chapter of Wells are lords of the manor. The population is included in that of Kingsbury Episcopi, and have rights of marriage and burial in the parish church and churchyard." Transcribed from the Kelly's Directory of 1875
