Muchelney is a village in the county of Somerset, situated around 2 miles south of Langport. Muchelney has four notable attractions: a magnificent medieval church; a Benedictine abbey; a 14th century priest's house; and the John Leach pottery and gallery. The village and the nearby hamlet of Thorney also play host to the annual Lowland Games, which include such delights as welly throwing, ferret racing, and mud wrestling.
